Note: The term «participant» naturally also refers to the highly esteemed female participants.

Registration

The general terms and conditions of wanderidee.ch apply to all registration forms and confirmed registrations. All tour participants will receive a confirmation of registration.

Conditions of participation

The participants assume the responsibility for the following
adapted equipment and clothing. For each tour a good health, a physical condition adapted to the hike and the technical requirements according to the detailed programme are required. The participants are obliged to inform the guide of any health problems or other risks before and during the tour. The instructions of the guide must be strictly followed during the tour. Participants who do not meet these requirements can be excluded by wanderidee.ch or the responsible hiking guide without any claim for reimbursement of costs.

Benefits

The services included in the price are described in the offer. Unless otherwise stated in the tender, each guest is responsible for his/her own travel expenses and snacks. Participants who are not SAC members will be charged extra for overnight stays in SAC cabins.

Information

After registration a detailed programme and equipment list will be sent to participants as soon as possible together with the order confirmation. One to three days before the tour any final information will be sent to all participants.

In the group

Our time together should be a great experience for all participants. Each participant contributes to the success and pleasant atmosphere of a tour. Participants who disturb the course of the tour or the well-being of the rest of the group through their behaviour can be excluded by wanderidee.ch in its sole discretion without any claim for a refund.

Programme changes

Tours take place in nature, where, despite careful planning by wanderidee.ch, not all risks can be excluded. Bad weather or natural events can lead to changes or cancellation of a tour. If possible, wanderidee.ch will offer an equivalent alternative route according to the interests of the participants. Participants may be charged any additional costs incurred due to a change in programme, area, overnight stay or journey. Tours may be cancelled if there is an insufficient number of participants. If a tour is cancelled completely without an alternative programme being offered, wanderidee.ch will refund any sums already paid by the participant or issue a credit note on request.

Payment

For tours of three days or more, the payment must be made in advance by the participants. After receipt of the registration, wanderidee.ch will send the participant a written confirmation with detailed information and an invoice, which must be paid in full at least 10 days before the hike. For one- and two-day tours, the payment conditions set out in the tour description shall apply.

Cancellation by participants: Cancellation costs

The cancellation of a tour booking by a participant must be communicated to wanderidee.ch in writing (e-mail, letter). The following cancellation charges shall apply:

One and two day tours:

• Until 3 days before tour date: Total fee
• 3–7 days before tour date: one-day package CHF 80.– / two-day package CHF 150.–
• Up to 7 days before tour date: Free of charge

Multi-day tours and hiking weeks:

• 1–9 days before tour start: Total fee
• 10–20 days before tour start: 50% of the fee
• Up to 21 days before tour start: Free of charge

Cancellation by wanderidee.ch

Cancellation of the tour due to insufficient number of participants:

• Day tours: Up to 2 days before tour date
• Multi-day tours: Up to 3 days before tour date

In the event of circumstances outside the control of wanderidee.ch (e.g. force majeure such as storm, avalanche, rockfall, serious weather conditions etc.), which prevent the safe execution of the contract, wanderidee.ch can cancel the tour at short notice. If no equivalent replacement programme is offered, the participant will be refunded for all payments already made. All further claims against wanderidee.ch are excluded.

Insurance

wanderidee.ch offers and bookings do not contain any insurance protection. The participant undertakes to arrange for sufficient personal insurance cover. For multi-day tours, it is advisable to take out cancellation insurance.

Liability and damages

Wanderidee.ch plans its tours carefully and to the best of its abilities. However, it cannot exclude residual risks. By booking, the participant expressly acknowledges this fact and waives any claims, compensation or other liability to the extent they can be waived in law.

Photographic material

Hiking guides and participants take photos and films on hikes in which individual persons can be recognised. The participants expressly agree to the taking of photographs and to the possible use of this photographic material by wanderidee.ch. If a participant does not want to be photographed or does not agree to the use of such photographs, he/she is obliged to inform the hiking guide and wanderidee.ch in advance in writing.

Data protection

The participant data is available to the hiking guides and wanderidee.ch exclusively in connection with the registered hike and for sending the wanderidee.ch newsletter. The participant data will not be passed on to third parties.

Place of jurisdiction

The contractual relations between the participant and wanderidee.ch are subject to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction for wanderidee.ch is Winterthur ZH.
