2 DAYS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ALPSTEIN

The Alpstein is extremely popular with hikers and recreation seekers. With its three mountain lakes as well as the three mountain ranges in a small area, the Alpstein is very varied and idyllic. Depending on the season and location, the flora and fauna is a unique splendor. With a bit of luck we will discover native wild animals like the ibex and the golden eagle. On our interesting two-day hike we are already looking forward to 2 gaps, 1 saddle, 1 plate, 2 lakes, 1 alpine garden, 1 geological hiking trail and 5 mountain inns.

IN 3 DAYS FROM APPENZELL TO AMDEN

After a short tour of the pretty town of Appenzell, we hike along the Alpstein to Schwägalp with fantastic views. There we spend the night at the foot of the mighty Säntis. A spectacular canyon and great views into various valleys inspire us on the second day. Bus and chair lift take us to Sellamatt. On the third day our path leads us at the foot of the Churfirsten to a mysterious cave. In Arvenbüel above Amden we end our hiking days with refreshments.

2 DAYS UP AND IN THE HEAVEN HOLE

We hike on the mountain from Schwägalp in the north face to Tierwies via the "Himmelsleiter" to the king of the Alpstein - the Säntis, the Wetterberg. The Ofenlochschlucht, a spectacular canyon, called the "Grand Canyon of Eastern Switzerland" and great views of various valleys will inspire us on the second day. We will spend the night on the Schwägalp in the new imposing ***S Hotel Säntis incl. wellness area (Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, experience showers, relaxation room).
