With three mountain lakes and three striking mountain ranges packed into a compact area, the region offers a diverse and charming landscape. Occasionally, native wildlife such as ibex and golden eagles can be spotted. On our two-day hike, we’ll cross two passes, a saddle, and a plateau; visit two lakes, an alpine garden, and a geological trail; and have the opportunity to stop at five mountain inns.

THROUGH THREE CANTONS IN THREE DAYS

Over the course of three days, we’ll hike from Appenzell Innerrhoden through Appenzell Ausserrhoden to the canton of St. Gallen. A varied, active journey full of sweeping views. We’ll spend the night in a lovingly renovated, detached Appenzell farmhouse (350 years old) and at a mountain inn in a stunning location between the Churfirsten and Säntis.
