Geologically speaking, the fascinating cart fields of the Schrattenfluh are a work of erosion. But some also say that the devil himself left his mark on the sharp lime scratches and caves. Your hiking guide will explain the exciting saga in more detail – an exciting and varied hiking day awaits you. In terms of landscape, this area (as part of the Entlebuch Biosphere) is certainly one of the most extraordinary of the hiking country. In some places, the use of the hands and a slight scramble is inevitable. Increased caution is advisable, as deep karst holes lurk off the path – good surefootedness is therefore highly recommended. A phenomenal panoramic view awaits you on the highest peak of the ridge – under ideal conditions the view extends to the Bernese Alps with the famous 4000m peaks and on the horizon to Mont Blanc.
