Full moon and sunrise experiences on the Rigi

Watch out for hikers, moonstruck people and everyday refugees: The Rigi is not only worth a trip in daylight. The queen of the mountains also shows in the dark that she has a lot to offer. The full moon hike from Vitznau-Hinterbergen leads through the nightly darkness to Rigi Kulm, where the sunrise makes you forget your efforts. This is followed by a fine breakfast at the Chäserenholz alpine inn. Accompanied by a guide, participants learn exciting facts about the Rigi and are expertly led through the darkness of the night. Our hiking guide Martin Akeret leads this offer twice a year; in 2021 this will be on 26 June and 24 July (each Friday to Saturday). As a rule, the 15 places are booked up relatively quickly.

wandernacht.ch: Cooperation with Swiss Post

Our offer Höhenfeuer auf dem Schauenberg as part of the National Hiking Night of 13 July 2019 and – limited to 25 participants – was sold out. Swiss Post's marketing team selected us from over 60 hikes as one of six events that they presented on their website – an excellent platform. We conducted this tour together with hiking guide Martina Suter. Next year, wanderidee.ch will again be the organizer!

South-East Switzerland Hiking Days

In cooperation with Heidiland Tourismus AG, Martin Akeret was the hiking guide at three events of the South-East Swiss Hiking Days. These included the ibex trek in the Weisstannen valley (August, 2nd), the chestnut path in Murg (August, 3rd) and the wine-tour in the 'Bündner Herrschaft' (August, 4th 2019). Most of the 15 stages were sold out, about 1800 hikers were on their way to the successful series.

National Hiking Day of the Swiss Family

Despite the gloomy weather, the number of hikers on the Swiss family's National Hiking Day in Bad Ragaz was enormous: hundreds were on the move on the individual tours on 7 September 2019 – Franziska as guide on the family hike high above the valley (Pardiel) and Martin as guide through the Bündner Herrschaft including a tasting stop at the Komminoth vineyard in Maienfeld. The hiking gods and gods were of course not missing, in our case Christa Rigozzi and Kurt Aeschbacher, whom we accompanied personally as BAW hiking guides.

Employee weekend for the Brühlgut Foundation

A weekend in the beautiful Alpstein – that was the promising title of the 2-day excursion for the employees of the Brühlgut Foundation Winterthur at the end of September 2019. A motivated group of 15 took the wonderful panoramic hike from Hohen Kasten to Saxer Lücke and finally to the mountain restaurant Bollenwees under their feet - under the expert direction of Martin. The gastronomy on the way was not neglected either. After the overnight stay in the morning a shorter, but equally delightful final tour down to Brülisau was on the programme. A successful example of an individual customer wish in terms of hiking and enjoyment.

Beautiful tours in the Lower Engadine for Pink Alpine

Enchanting mountain lakes and majestic peaks in the Lower Engadine: The title of the Pink Alpine tour days was the programme – under perfect late summer conditions Martin led a motivated group of five to the most beautiful places, for example to Laj Raduond (location of the Schellenursli film) or to the unique Macun Lake District in the National Park. The participants learn interesting facts about nature and culture on the scenic hikes. As an extremely friendly and attentive host, the Guarda Lodge spoiled the guests – at this point also highly recommended.
